Dear Community Friends,

The 2004 BCCA Summer Arts Program is here! Over the past few weeks, we have been busy designing several exciting 2-week sessions for all ages and artistic interests. We've lined up a world dance workshop, a Kung-Fu & Capoeira program, and much more that is sure to be a fresh, new change from the typical summer program scene. Check out what we've come up!

June 21st - July 2nd
Alphabet Fitness and Music Program, Ages 4-6

Alphabet Fitness is the innovative creation of one of the Center's very own instructors that develops and reinforces literacy skills through gross motor movement. This session will also incorporate music to encourage students to more fully explore their own creativity.

July 5th - July 16th
World Dance Workshop, Ages 7-12

This session will experiment with the foundations of movement from several distinct cultures, including dance styles of Latin America, Israel, and India.

July 5th - July 16th
Drama Workshop, Ages 10-14

Students will investigate the fundamentals of acting through fun, improvisational exercises and theatre instruction.

July 19th - July 30th
Kung-Fu and Capoeira Program, Teens

This session will teach the foundations of these two unique forms of martial arts, challenging novice and experienced martial arts students alike.

Aug. 2nd - Aug. 13th
Hip Hop and Funk Program, Ages 7-12 & Teens

This high-energy session is a great workout and a lot of fun. Two independent sections will accommodate these two different age groups.

All sessions will run for 10 days from 9 am to 12:30 pm.
The program fee will be $385 per session.

Additional sessions, including a full-day option, may be added with sufficient demand. Possible session themes to add include: Installation Art Workshop (ages 10-14), Latin Rhythms (Ages 5-7), A Survey of Classical Dance for Beginners (Teens), A Cappella Workshop (Teens). The sooner we hear your comments, the easier it will be to make this an even better program for your family

Space is limited in the above sessions! Respond to this email or call me to get more info and to pre-register today. I look forward to hearing from you!

Best,

Emily Gold
