Extended-Day Option |
|
All of the above sessions run from 9:00 to 12:30
with
an 8:30-1:00 early/late dropoff/pickup option.
For all
elementary, middle, and teen sessions, there
will be an
extended day Creative Arts option until 4:00
.
Students will eat lunch (brought from home) from
12:30-
1:00 and resume summer programming at 1:00.
The Creative Arts afternoons will be less
movement-oriented than the morning session and
will focus
primarily on two-dimensional art and sculpture,
as well
as fun, one-hour electives. Possible elective
topics
include Installation Art, Magic, and Belly Dancing.
The BCCA Summer Arts Program will not offer an
extended day option for the 4-6 year-olds
program. We
are happy to network you with other BCCA parents if
you need help arranging afternoon
care for your child. We apologize for any
inconvenience, and we hope to be able to offer this
option to all students in the future.

Program fees |
|
The BCCA is a non-profit organization and we charge
only the amount to
cover the costs of the program. Each two-week,
morning session costs $385 per student. The session
fee for the extended day option with twice the fun is
only $700. The extended-day option will also require
students to purchase art supplies for their Creative Arts
session, not to exceed $30.
To help accomodate the needs of working parents, the
program will offer a $50 per session fee if you would like
an
early/late dropoff/pickup option. This
option would extend the morning program hours to 8:30-
1:00. For those students in the extended day program,
late pickup would run until 4:30.

Other Summer Programming |
|
We hope that the above sessions fill up quickly because
we've got more great ideas. Please help us spread
the word about the Summer Arts Program, and
we'll be happy to add new sessions as demand
increases! You can simply forward this newsletter to
other parents who might be interested using the
Forward email link at the bottom of this page .
I'd also like to mention another kids program that will be
housed at the BCCA this summer. Summer Tunes
, a "jam-filled music adventure for kids," will be
offered July 19th - 30th and August 16th - 27th for
elementary and middle school students. Contact "Middle
C Music" for more information at 617-594-4676.
