The sun is out, and the BCCA is posed for another fun-filled summer!

This summer is even more packed than last year, featuring 3 great summer programs all under one roof: the BCCA Summer Arts Program, Summer Tunes & the Impulse Dance Summer Program.

Collectively, these programs cater toages 3-18, offering quality, diverse offerings that you won't find at your average summer program.

Discounts and scholarship assistance are available.

Summer Arts Program: Dance, Music & Drama for ages 3-12
    Alphabet Fitness, Ages 3-5
    July 11th-22nd: 9:00 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.
This program's instructors are two top-notch, experience Brookline educators. Karen Voght is a licensed Pediatric Physical Therapist who will teach "Gross motor ABC's" through movement, music and fun. Kids will exercise alphabet agility, coordination, aerobics learning and cooperative communication. (Click here to read more about Alphabet Fitness). Erica Sigal is a dancer and much-loved BCCA teacher who will incorporate a playful and imaginative creative movement program. This session is designed to be drop-off, although parents are always invited to stay and watch or play!

Dance & Music Mania, Ages 6-9
    July 11th-22nd: 9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.
This session is designed to teach and inspire aspiring dancers and musicians in their creative abilities. Throughout each days students will explore different styles of dance, including tap and jazz, learning to use their bodies through both choreagraphy and improvisation. As musicians, they will experiment with their voices and with a variety of instruments (from the piano to the djembe), in addition to learning the potential of their own bodies to be instruments. This session will culminate in a short performance on the afternoon of Friday, July 22nd.

Drama & Musical Theatre, Ages 6-9
    July 25th-August 5th: 9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.
This session explores many sides of theatre, including improvisation comedy, miming, stage & costume design, and musical theatre, hoping to provide a less traditional approach to acting. Students will learn to warm up both their bodies and creative minds though improvisational games. They will also explore the more technical aspects of theatre by designing the stage and costume design for the performance on the last day, Friday, August 5th. This session is appropriate for students with some or no theatre experience. Mature 8-9 year-olds with experience are encouraged to consider the 9-12 year-old session.

Drama & Musical Theatre, Ages 9-12
    July 25th-August 5th: 9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.
This session will parallel the session of the younger drama students described above, while placing more emphasis on advanced improvisational theatre exercises and stage production work. Students will gain experience with direction and production by running the final performance on Friday, August 5th. This session is appropriate for students with some or no theatre experience.

Impulse Dance Summer Program for Teens
Mid' Summa Knight's Stream- Theatre & Dance Performance (Ages 13-18)
    July 5th-August 12th: 9:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.
